A Rochester church is launching bilingual services.
In a social media post by Safe Harbor Church it was announced that an exciting new chapter is beginning as it expands its worship services to better serve the growing and diverse community of Rochester, and surrounding areas.
Beginning Easter morning, April 5, at 10:30 a.m., Safe Harbor Church will officially launch bilingual worship services featuring live, real-time translation from English into Spanish. The church at 1944 Sweetgum Road invites the entire community to attend this special Easter celebration and ongoing weekly services.
The social media post goes to state that his new bilingual format will feature praise and worship will be led in both English and Spanish, creating a welcoming atmosphere where individuals and families from different language backgrounds can worship together as one body. During the message, Pastor Mark MacKillop will preach in English while church member Amy Helt will provide seamless, live Spanish translation. In addition, Amy Helt will lead worship in Spanish, ensuring that Spanish-speaking attendees can fully engage in every aspect of the service.
