Information limited as of this report but an arrest has been made in what is being called a double homicide.
The Olney Police Department and Richland County Sheriff’s Office requested the Illinois State Police’s (ISP) investigate two homicides in Olney.
Just after 3 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to two homes in the 400 block of East Monroe Street in Olney. Officers found two deceased individuals in separate homes, 52-year-old John D. Jones Jr., and 73-year-old Deborah J. Jones.
Law enforcement states that one person is in custody and there is no risk to the public.
