A report of a possibly intoxicated driver led to the arrest of a 52-year-old Plymouth man on Wednesday evening, February 18.
At approximately 5:43 p.m., Marshall County Dispatch broadcast a report regarding a vehicle on Michigan Road, south of U.S. 6. Officers responded to the area, located the suspect vehicle, and initiated a traffic stop for a moving violation.
During the subsequent investigation, officers identified the driver as Jason S. Housour, 52, of West Harrison Street. It was discovered that Housour was operating the vehicle with a suspended license and had an active warrant for his arrest.
Housour was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail. He has been charged with driving while suspended with a prior conviction and warrant service.
His bond was set at $650.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
