Winamac P.O. box users can go to the Star City Post Office this week to retrieve mail.
The temporary closure continues at the post office in Winamac as new flooring is placed there in the effort to secure the building and make it safe. Previously, Winamac P.O. box users were to report to the post office in Rochester to collect mail.
Star City is expanding hours this weeke to help with the change. Hours will be 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. - noon on Saturday.
Also, starting today, anyone with questions should call the Rochester post office and ask for a Winamac employee.
Residents in the Winamac area who get mail by street delivery will continue to receive as they normally do.
