A man with outstanding warrants and who tried to evade police is behind bars following his arrest after a domestic incident early Thursday morning.
According to authorities, officers from the Rockville Police Department, as well as deputies from the Parke County Sheriff's Office responded to a domestic incident in the area of South Market Street and Main Street.
Once on scene, officers learned the suspect had left on foot and that he had active warrants from Illinois. Shortly after, officers received a search warrant to search a residence on South Michigan Street and found Alexis Cruz hiding. Cruz was taken into custody without incident on the outstanding warrants from Illinois and is facing a charge of domestic battery.
According to the Rockville Police Department, the investigation remains active and anyone with any info is asked to contact the Rockville Police Department.
