Central Indiana will have an elevated fire weather risk Thursday afternoon.
Temperatures warmed several degrees Tuesday with highs increasing into the mid to upper 70s Thursday. With the temperatures, low relative humidity and expected gusty winds, an elevated fire weather risk involves much of Central Indiana Thursday afternoon ahead of scattered showers with a cold front scheduled for tonight into Friday.
Less than a half-inch of rain is expected with this system with a dry weekend to follow. More rain is in the forecast to begin next week.
