Plymouth author and inspirational speaker Pebbles Wireman will host a communitywide “Fun Fair Book Release & Fundraiser” from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, at Lincoln Junior High School (Door 12), Plymouth.
The event, which is free and open to the public, marks the release of Wireman’s newest children’s book, “Mooky & Me: Story, Activity & Coloring Book,” and will raise funds to provide books and Mooky Sock Monkeys to children spending the holidays in the hospital, as well as local children in need within the school system.

Mooky the Sock Monkey
The fundraiser will support children at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital, Riley Hospital for Children, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Beacon Children’s Hospital, and children in the Plymouth community.
“For a child in the hospital, the holidays can feel scary, lonely, and uncertain. A comforting buddy and a joyful story can be a reminder that they are not forgotten, not alone, and still deeply loved,” said Wireman, whose book series and nonprofit outreach center around the character “Mooky,” an encouraging sock-monkey friend created to bring hope and comfort.
Families will have the chance to purchase their own Mooky Sock Monkey and an autographed copy of “Mooky & Me,” with all profits directly funding the book and Mooky to children in need.
“Mooky & Me” is a story and activity book “designed to help children feel brave, seen and supported,” according to a news release. Filled with full-color illustrations, encouraging messages, coloring pages, puzzles, and interactive storytelling, the book is intended to promote emotional resilience, imagination, and comfort.
