Lawrenceville High School now has a new head man.
The Unit #20 Board of Education Wednesday night named Ryan Clark of Vincennes as the new principal at the school. He comes to LHS from the Vincennes Community School Corporation (VCSC), where he worked in the administration at Clark Middle School.
The hiring came after an over 2-hour executive session dealing with personnel. Unit 20 Superintendent Doug Daugherty told GIANT-FM News that Clark was impressive in his interview and his experience as an administrator will allow him to hit the ground running when he assumes his new duties on July 1.
Clark replaces Andrew Malone in the position. Ironically, Malone resigned as LHS principal in order to return to the VCSC as principal at Franklin Elementary School, where he had previously worked before coming to Unit 20.
