The Indiana Department of Transportation announces all-way stops will be installed at the intersection of State Road 19 and Division Road and the intersection of State Road 213 and Division Road in Tipton.
Beginning on or after Monday, September 22, crews will install flashing LED stop signs on S.R. 19 and S.R. 213 at the intersections with Division Rd. Advance warning signs and rumble strips will be added at each intersection. Temporary message boards are in place alerting drivers of the new traffic pattern.
The addition of all-way stops aims to improve safety and reduce the number of right-angle crashes at high-speed intersections. Drivers should use extra caution in the area while motorists adjust to the new traffic pattern.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and use extra caution while traveling in and around work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
