The South Knox Lady Spartans scored 5 runs in the top of the 7th inning to break a 4-4 tie, but then had to hold on as the Lawrenceville Lady Indians rallied in the bottom of the inning for 4 runs, but came up short in a 9-8 loss Wednesday at Phil Alsman Field in Lawrenceville.
South Knox scored 9 runs on 9 hits and made 3 errors while the Lady Indians scored 8 runs on 9 hits and committed 2 errors. Elaina Hoke, Olivia Brush, and Alix Garza each had 2 hits and an RBI for Lawrenceville in their 4th straight loss.
The Lady Indians drop to 4-9 on the season and will be at home Thursday against Olney (Richland County).
