The Vincennes Rivet Patriots made a successful trip to Illinois Monday as they rolled to a 13-0 win over the Red Hill Salukis in action at the Tank Farm in Bridgeport.
They scored 7 runs over the first two innings to take the lead and win handily. The visitors scored their 13 runs on 13 hits and made 2 errors while the host Salukis were shutout on just 2 hits and made 4 errors on the day. The Saluki hits were by Carter Davis and Keegan Liston. Davis went 4 2/3 innings and gave up 8 runs to take the pitching loss.
Red Hill is now at 8-5 on the season and will remain at home Friday when they welcome in the Edwards County Lions to town.
