The woes continued on the road Thursday for the Lawrenceville Lady softball Indians.
They were beaten 17-1 in four innings by the Marshall Lady Lions in Little Illini Conference play at Marshall.
The hosts scored 17 runs on 12 hits and made an error while the visitors were held to 1 run on 4 hits and also made an error. Ella Waggoner, Allison Evans, Jocelyn Wells, and Brina Opat each had hits for the Lady Indians with Opat driving in the lone run.
The loss was the 7th in a row for the struggling Lady Indians, who drop to 4-12 on the season.
Lawrenceville is scheduled to step out of conference Saturday with a doubleheader at Salem at 10 a.m.
