The Lawrenceville Lady softball Indians had a big offensive day as they traveled to Indiana Tuesday and beat the North Knox Lady Warriors 16-5 in 6 innings at Bicknell.
The squad scored runs in every inning enroute to the win. The Lady Indians tallied 16 runs on just 8 hits and made 3 errors while the host Lady Warriors were limited to 5 runs on 7 hits and made 2 errors. Brina Opat and Olivia Brush each had 2 hits and 2 RBI and Ella Waggoner also had 2 hits and an RBI to pace the Lawrenceville offense.
The win improves the Lady Indians to 6-13 on the season. They are idle Wednesday before returning to Little Illini Conference (LIC) play Thursday at home with Paris.
