A caller reporting a break-in was arrested by Parke County deputies .
Law enforcement was dispatched to the area of Stanley Road, Rockville for a report of suspicious activity. The caller advised that two people were breaking into a residence.
When deputies arrived they located the caller in the middle of the roadway with a flashlight. During the investigation, deputies observed no evidence of anyone breaking in homes on E. Stanley Road. While on scene, the caller told the deputies that the people were currently breaking into her residence. Deputies went to check that residence. They located methamphetamine, marijuana, and paraphernalia in plain view inside the caller's residence.
The caller, Denise Nichols, 68, of rural Rockville, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, and obstruction of justice. Nichols was transported to Union Hospital Clinton for a medical evaluation and then later to the Parke County Jail.
