The Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors met Wednesday, August 19th in Bridgeport and paid tribute to outgoing Administrative Assistant and Office Manager Jennifer Salyers.
Salyers stepped down last week in order to begin teaching at the Vincennes Beauty College. She took over the running of the Chamber office in downtown Lawrenceville after the departure of Executive Director Amy Michelle Seed in 2025.
The Chamber Board expressed appreciation for Salyers' time and contributions to the organization.
Board Vice-President Bryan cannon told GIANT-FM News that work is already underway to fill the vacant Executive Director position. A committee has been formed to conduct a search and Cannon indicated that there have already been some responses. He also said that there is no firm timeline to fill the position and the committee is continuing to accept applications seeking the best candidate possible.
