The city of St. Francisville is moving forward with plans to repair its streets and alleys in the future.
The City Council met Wednesday, and alderman were advised by Mayor T.J. Moyes to submit their proposals for which roads in their wards will be included in the annual Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) program. Once all the input is received, it will then be mapped out and sent to Lawrence County Highway Engineer Aaron Mefford for approval.
Mayor Moyes also reported that January was a busy month for the city water department. They had to deal with three different water main breaks during that time, but repairs were able to be made and completed. The extremely cold conditions and heavy snow added to the difficulty.
