In celebration of Earth Day, Potawatomi Wildlife Park is inviting the community to connect with nature at its upcoming "Tree Fest" this Wednesday, April 22.

The public event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the park, located at 16998 State Road 331 in Tippecanoe. Organizers are promising a fun and educational day focused on conservation, environmental awareness, and celebrating trees.

Attendees can look forward to a variety of hands-on activities and presentations from expert exhibitors. The event will also serve as a massive outdoor classroom, as most second-grade students from across Marshall County are scheduled to attend and experience the day's educational events firsthand.

A wide array of local organizations and conservation groups will be setting up exhibits for the festival. Participating organizations include the Potawatomi Wildlife Park, the Marshall County Health Department, the Indiana Chapter of the American Chestnut Foundation, the Marshall County Soil and Water Conservation District, the Marshall County Recycle Depot, and the Potawatomi Zoo.

Additionally, the Marshall County Purdue Extension will be well-represented at the event, featuring booths and activities from both their 4-H Youth Development Department and the Marshall County Master Gardeners.

Community members of all ages are encouraged to come out, enjoy the park, and learn more about local conservation efforts this Earth Day.
