Dyer woman arrested on drug and OWI charges following traffic stop in Plymouth

A 46-year-old woman from Dyer, Indiana, is facing multiple charges, including felony cocaine possession and operating while intoxicated, after being pulled over for speeding in Plymouth on Sunday evening.

According to the Plymouth Police Department, the incident occurred on Sunday, April 19th, at approximately 7:45 p.m. Corporal Schieber initiated a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle traveling on U.S. 30 near the intersection of Oak Drive.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Nicole Jones. During the traffic stop, the investigating officer observed signs of impairment. A subsequent investigation and search of the vehicle led to the discovery of suspected cocaine and marijuana.

Following a chemical test, Jones was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail. She was lodged on preliminary charges of felony possession of cocaine, as well as misdemeanor charges for possession of marijuana, operating while intoxicated endangering a person, and operating while intoxicated with a controlled substance.

Jones is currently being held at the Marshall County Jail on a $1,500 cash bond.
