A Bourbon man was arrested early Sunday morning after Marshall County Deputies were notified of a possibly impaired driver.
On September 14th, around 5:11 a.m. Deputy Geiger observed a possible impaired driver in a silver truck on U.S. 30, heading east. The truck then turned south on Fir Road, and the Deputy made a traffic stop for traffic violations.
37-year-old Walter J. Ortiz Rivera of South Main Street in Bourbon was found to have been drinking. Field sobriety tests were performed on Rivera, and he agreed to a certified blood test. He was taken to the Plymouth hospital, where blood was drawn, and test results showed him to be at four times the legal limit.
Rivera was arrested for felony operating a vehicle while intoxicated due to prior convictions and never obtaining a license.
He was booked at the Marshall County Jail and held on a $1,500 cash bond.

They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
