Last week County Attorney Jim Clevenger told the Commissioners the E&B Paving and Union Road Project is still in the discussion phase. Clevenger said he continues to meet with representatives from E&B on the $349,000 paving that happened without a contract or commissioner approval. The commissioners will conduct an executive session today at 10 a.m. in their meeting room in the County Building. The purpose of the executive session is to discuss strategies for litigation or threatened litigation.
During the attorney’s report, Clevenger said SRI will be conducting the Tax Sale on October 17th at 10 a.m. He went on to say the Treasurer and Auditor will be making applications for judgment on September 30th. The list of properties is not as long as it was in the past although Auditor Angie Birchmier said there are many new names on the list.
The commissioners also passed on the second and third reading an ordinance enacting the code of ordinances for Marshall County. This approval of codification included the approval of revisions, amendments, and restatements that were made in compiling the existing ordinances.
