4C Health has announced that Virga Smith has been selected as the recipient of the 2026 Behavioral Health Champion Award-Community Member of the Year.
This prestigious recognition honors individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication to improving the lives of others and advancing the well-being of their communities through service, advocacy, and compassion.
For more than 35 years, Smith has served the community as a certified public accountant while also dedicating countless hours to charitable and civic organizations throughout Fulton County. Her leadership and unwavering commitment to helping others have created a lasting impact on individuals and families facing hardship.
Smith has played a vital role in supporting vulnerable populations through Fulton County H.O.P.E’s initiative, helping address the needs of individuals experiencing homelessness and housing instability. Through her work with St. John’s Lutheran Church, she has also helped provide essential resources and support to community members in need. In addition, her leadership of the Celebrate Recovery group has offered encouragement, connection, and hope to individuals navigating personal challenges and recovery journeys.
“Virga’s compassion, servant leadership, and commitment to supporting others truly embody the spirit of this award,” said Dr. Carrie Cadwell, President/CEO of 4C Health. “Her work continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of so many throughout our community, and we are honored to recognize her contributions.”
