The Howard County Sheriff's Office has received several calls reporting another telephone scam.
The caller is identifying themselves as Sgt. Will Cline of the Howard County Sheriff's Office and wants to speak to someone regarding a legal issue.
The most recent scammer is leaving a voicemail and asks the person to contact them at the Howard County Sheriff's Office in order to seem legitimate.
As a reminder, no member of the HCSO will ever contact you via phone requesting money for any reason. This includes donations, warrants, taxes, etc.
Although 99.9% of these scams are foreign based, you are still encouraged to call 765-457-1105 and let us know when they are occurring so that we can warn others.
