The most recent scammer is leaving a voicemail and asks the person to contact them at the Howard County Sheriff's Office in order to seem legitimate.
As a reminder, no member of the HCSO will ever contact you via phone requesting money for any reason. This includes donations, warrants, taxes, etc.
Although 99.9% of these scams are foreign based, you are still encouraged to call 765-457-1105 and let us know when they are occurring so that we can warn others.
