Education can be tasty and fun.
The Morristown branch of Shelby County Public Library plans to prove that by hosting a free, six-week culinary skills series for teens starting on Jan. 9.
During each session from 3:45 to 5 p.m., Purdue Extension Nutrition Education Program Advisor Claire Rivron will present cooking demonstrations and offer money management tips to attendees in grades 9-12.
Participants will also learn to use kitchen tools for hands-on food preparation, sample nutritional recipes while following food safety guidelines, discover how to make better food choices, and even engage in exercise opportunities.
