It was an impressive opening performance for a Plymouth track athlete as the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion hosted the Hoosier State Relays State Meet.
Plymouth girls track state meet qualifier Jersey Hunter competed in her second state meet in the month of March. She represented Plymouth in the high jump in a field of 20 jumpers. She cleared 5’0” on her third attempt and came up short to tie her PR of 5’2” on her next three attempts.
“Jersey qualified in the high jump with five practices underneath her belt and narrowly missed qualifying in the 60 m hurdles too. Give her another week of practices, we believe that she would have notched a qualifying time in her marquee event. We are proud of Jersey, the way she practices and puts in the effort with each rep. She came in four times during spring break and got better!”
Hunter also became the third Plymouth gymnast to compete at the IHSAA State Finals
