The Boston Celtics have taken a 3-0 series lead after defeating the Dallas Mavericks 106-99 in Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday night
No NBA team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit.
The Celtics held off an attempted comeback from the Mavericks to win Game 3, doing so without center Kristaps Porzingis, who was ruled out with a left leg injury he suffered in Game 2. However, Boston’s duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown combined to score 61 points in the game, with Tatum finishing with a team-high 31, and Brown scoring 30.
The Celtics are now just one game from winning a record 18th NBA championship, with Game 4 set to take place in Dallas on Friday at 8:30 pm.
