The Lawrenceville Baseball Indians finished up a long busy week of baseball Saturday with a split of a non-conference doubleheader at Unit 20 Ballpark with Washington Indiana.
The Tribe rallied with four runs in the bottom of the 7th in the first game to win 5-4 but the visitors scored the winning run in the top of the 6th in the nitecap to break a 2-2 tie and win 3-2. The Indians scored 5 runs on only 2 hits in the first game win, but were aided in the decisive inning by 3 Washington errors. Neilan Bickers and Boston Gray had the hits.
Noah Wilson picked up the win in relief. In the second contest, the Hatchets score 3 times on 5 hits with 2 errors while the Indians were held to 2 runs on 5 hits. Gray had two hits and Landon Sanders a RBI double for the Indians in the second game with Wilson taking the loss on the mound.
The Indians are now at 5-5-1 and will be back at Unit 20 Ballpark Monday hosting Fairfield at 4:30 p.m.
