The Red Hill Unit #10 Board is pleased with the work done in the newly renovated south gymnasium project at Red Hill Jr./Sr. High School in Bridgeport.
That assessment made by Superintendent Jakie Walker to the board during their regular monthly session Wednesday night. Walker and the board hosted a public open house tour to allow district patrons to see the improvements firsthand prior to the session.
Work began in the spring on the overall $5.5 million project and involved rehabilitation of the foyer flooring, gym flooring, locker rooms, restrooms, and concession area. Most of the project through the sale of around $4 million in municipal bonds.
The board also approved a quote of just over $12,200 from Alstadt Mechanical for replacement of the condensate piping at the Sumner Attendance Center.
