Lawrence County States Attorney Brady Waldrop has announced the sentencings of two people recently in court appearances.
36-year-old Adrienne Shoulders of Lawrenceville was charged with Theft, a Class 4 Illinois Felony. She was placed on probation but violated the terms and was given 3 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) to be followed by up to 6 months of mandatory supervised release.
30-year-old Alif Ali, a former inmate at the Lawrence Correctional Center near Sumner was charged with Aggravated Battery of a Correctional Institution Employee, a Class 2 Illinois Felony. Ali was handed 2 years in the IDOC to run consecutive to his current prison sentence. He will also face 6 months of mandatory supervised release after his time is complete.
