Reports out of Knox County indicate that Kellie Streeter will be a candidate for the Republican nomination for Indiana 45th District State Representative. That district includes parts of Knox, Daviess and Vigo counties and all of Greene and Sullivan counties in southwestern Indiana. Streeter is commissioner of District 3 in northern Knox County and is the president of the Knox County Commissioners. She also is president of the Indiana County Commissioners Association and works as the administrator of the Daviess County Health Department. The 45th District office is currently held by longtime legislator Bruce Borders of Jasonville. The Indiana Republican primary election is Tuesday May 7th.
