A South Bend man was arrested Saturday evening after a traffic stop revealed he was driving on a suspended license with a prior conviction for the same offense.
Deputy Ash with the Marshall County Sheriff's Department conducted the traffic stop at approximately 7:00 p.m. on December 20th, in the area of U.S. 30 and Fir Road.
During the stop, the deputy identified the driver as Emerson C. Williams Jr., 39, of South Bend. A license check revealed Williams' Indiana driver's license had a status of suspended with a prior conviction for driving while suspended.
Williams was taken into custody and transported to Marshall County Jail, where he was booked on a charge of driving while suspended with a prior conviction, a Class A misdemeanor.
He was assigned a court date and issued a bond of $505.
The arrest involved the Marshall County Sheriff's Department and the Bourbon Police Department.
