A Peru man was injured in a Monday afternoon motorcycle crash.
Cass County Central Dispatch received a call just after noon about the single-vehicle crash west of the County Road 1075 – County Road 350 South intersection. Several agencies responded including the Cass County Sheriff’s office, Indiana State Police, New Waverly Fire Department, Walton Fire Department and Cass County EMS.
According to the preliminary investigation by the Cass County Sheriff’s Officethe 2010 Harley Davidson was eastbound on 350 South and failed to negotiate a curve. The motorcycle and driver, Randall Badders, 63, of Peru, slid along the pavement before coming to rest.
A medical helicopter was called to the scene to transport the seriously injured Badders to a trauma center in Fort Wayne. Badders was not wearing a helmet which contributed to his injuries.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating.
