The Vincennes Police Department and the Knox County Sheriffs Department are teaming up with other law enforcement agencies across Indiana for a high visibility seat belt enforcement effort.
The campaign is in conjunction with the upcoming Memorial Day holiday and runs from now through Sunday June 2nd. Indiana's seat belt usage was 93.2% in 2023-good, but police say it can improve. Buckling up can reduce the risk of injury or death in a vehicle crash by up to 65%.
