Summer Reading isn’t just for kids!
Shelby County Public Library will kick off its Adult Summer Reading Challenge at a free concert in the plaza on Friday, May 29 from 7-to 10 p.m.
All ages are welcome to experience The Sad Dad Society, a Central Indiana cover band that plays 2000s emo and pop punk. The band—comprised of bassist/vocalist Zach Lock, guitarist Jon Dusenbury, drummer Andrew Reismiller and guitarist/vocalist Aaron Pollitt—has performed at 2025 Shelby County Cornstock; the Yazoo Taproom in Nashville, Tennessee; the Draft Day Pub in Greenwood; and many more venues.
Dusenbury works in the payroll office at the library . Besides great music, you’ll be able to enjoy snacks and drinks from food truck vendors that will be parked on-site.
