Wednesday evening storms left extensive damage in parts of Fulton and Miami County, with rumors of a possible tornado.
Maddie Johnson, meteorologist for the National Weather Service for Northern Indiana, says although nothing has been confirmed yet their team is still investigating the area this afternoon to survey the damage. Johnson said the alleged tornado is believed to have started around the Macy neighborhood around 8:20 p.m. Wednesday before moving to the Akron area and ending around 8:35 p.m.

Members from Fulton and Miami County EMA had multiple reports of powerlines being down and structure damage and will be continuing to assist the NWS team in surveying damage.
Those who experienced damage from last night's storm should make a report to Fulton County EMA by calling 574-223-2011, or the National Weather Service for Northern Indiana at 574-834-1104.
