The Marshall County Community Foundation (MCCF) is now accepting applications for its fall 2026 Community Funds grant round and the Ralph C. Vonnegut Jr. Fund. The deadline to apply is Monday, August 3, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. All applications must be submitted online at marshallcountycf.org.
Community Funds grants support specific projects and programs throughout Marshall County, typically focused on the arts, education, health and human services, recreation, and the environment. The Ralph C. Vonnegut Jr. Fund specifically supports environmental, educational, or recreational projects directly related to Lake Maxinkuckee.
Eligible applicants must hold 501(c)(3) IRS status, or 501(c) status with a charitable purpose. Grants are available for start-up costs for new or expanding programs and one-time projects or needs. Applications are reviewed competitively by community members serving on MCCF's Grants Committee.
Since the first unrestricted fund grants were awarded in 1995, MCCF has distributed more than $6 million to the community, and currently awards more than $250,000 annually to nonprofits serving Marshall County.
