There are still two administrative principal positions open at both Lawrenceville High School (LHS) and Parkview Junior High and the process to select fill those was a subject of discussion during a special session of the Lawrence Unit #20 Board of Education Wednesday.
The board entered into executive session to talk about the subject. No actions were taken upon emerging by the board. Superintendent Doug Daugherty told GIANT-FM WAKO News that the final date for applications to be submitted is Friday, March 27th. The applications will then be evaluated, and finalists are expected to be interviewed by the board in early April. He indicated that if all goes well, two of the finalists could be hired by the end of April and the new principals in place by July.
The two principal spots have been vacant since the resignations of Ryan Clark at LHS and Andrea Youngs at Parkview earlier in the year. Since then, Daugherty has been the acting interim principal at both schools.
