A 26-year-old Plymouth man is in the Marshall County Jail for a domestic battery charge.
Officers from the Plymouth Police Department were dispatched to 284 Evergreen Drive in Plymouth for a domestic battery on Sunday, March 23, at approximately 4:20 PM.
The 911 caller told the dispatcher that Jonathan Kemp, 26, of the Economy Inn, had kicked and hit his mother’s sister.
When city officers arrived on the scene, they talked to all involved and determined that a battery had occurred and that Kemp had kicked his aunt in the knee and hit her in the arms. He was arrested for domestic battery and transported to Marshall County Jail, where he was booked in and held on a $500 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings, entitled to be represented by counsel, and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
