The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) says that beginning on or around Monday, June 1st, 2026, construction will begin along Hart Street from Kimmel Road to Veterans Drive at Vincennes, including all US 41 on and off ramps.
Work on the project will be done under an alternating single lane restriction and there may be times when the traffic signals at both the US 41 and Hart Street interchanges may operate in a 4-way flashing mode. The construction work will include sidewalk improvements, curb and gutter work, guardrail upgrades, curb ramp installments, patching, and storm sewer installation.
Work will be in progress from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. daily starting on June 1st and is expected to end by Wednesday, August 5th or perhaps sooner, depending on weather conditions.
