McQuery was treated for minor injuries at the hospital before being transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked as a habitual traffic violator for life and on false reporting charges. He is scheduled for an initial hearing in Marshall Superior Court III on March 11 and is held on a $1,500 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause constitutes a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has taken place. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings, entitled to representation by counsel, and entitled to a trial by jury, at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt can be rendered.
