Granger man arrested for public nudity and intoxication in early morning incident

A 32-year-old Granger man was arrested in the early morning hours on Friday after a Plymouth police officer spotted him urinating in public at a downtown intersection.

At approximately 3:45 a.m. on Friday, May 22nd, a Plymouth Police officer stopped at the intersection of North Michigan and Garro Streets when he observed a male standing by his vehicle who appeared to be urinating in public. The officer approached the individual, identified as Christopher M. Dittrich, 32, of Granger, and detected an odor of alcohol.

Dittrich was taken into custody and charged with public nudity and public intoxication. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in.

 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
