Governor Mike Braun today announced that his administration has cut the average processing time across all professional license types by half, creating a faster path into the workforce for Hoosiers while maintaining the state’s safety, training, and skill requirements.
“Quicker time to licensure means a more direct line into a new job and a bigger paycheck for Hoosiers. We are cutting red tape and breaking down barriers to great jobs without sacrificing safety, training, or skill requirements.” — Governor Mike Braun
Average processing time across all license types fell from approximately 11.8 days in January 2025 to approximately 5.9 days in July 2026.
