Gov. Braun cuts licensing times in half, accelerates Hoosiers’ entry into workforce

Governor Mike Braun today announced that his administration has cut the average processing time across all professional license types by half, creating a faster path into the workforce for Hoosiers while maintaining the state’s safety, training, and skill requirements.

Average processing time across all license types fell from approximately 11.8 days in January 2025 to approximately 5.9 days in July 2026.

The improvements have accelerated licensing across professional, technical, healthcare and public-safety fields.
