A local man was taken into custody by authorities early Friday morning.
Bridgeport Police were dispatched just after midnight to a Bridgeport location to investigate a disturbance.
Arrested after investigation was 42-year-old Steven Burdette of Bridgeport on a charge of Aggravated Battery.
No other details surrounding the case were given in the arrest report.
Burdette was booked into the Lawrence County Jail and was being held there pending a detention hearing.
