Fulton County highway officials are using a little bit of imagination and engineering in an effort to save nearly a half-million dollars on a proposed bridge project.
County commissioner Rick Ranstead says a bridge replacement is now going to become a culvert project.
The commissioner noted that the county’s veterans officer is stepping down next month.
In IT, Ranstead says Fulton County is working to improve security to avoid outside hacks.
In a maintenance note, the Fulton County Courthouse elevator has had issues recently. Plans include shutting it down September 15 – 19 for service. Those dates were chosen because they are the slowest court dockets on the upcoming schedule. While the elevator is down officials will have to implement plans to help anyone needing handicap accessibility to reach the upstairs.
