12th District Republican Congressman Mike Bost is seeking another term in office.
He launched his official re-election campaign late last week at an appearance in Monroe County.
Bost is from Murphysboro and was first elected to Congress in 2014.
He has been endorsed by President Donald Trump.
Prior to his election to Congress, Bost served in the Illinois state legislature and was a small business owner, professional firefighter and a United States Marine.
The 12th Congressional District served by Bost does include Lawrence and several surrounding counties in southern Illinois.
