Lawrenceville High School (LHS) will be needing a new principal in the future. The Lawrence Unit #20 Board of Education, after an executive session, announced the acceptance of the resignation of Lance Boldt. Boldt had been the principal at the school for the last 2 years taking over for Paul Higginbotham. Prior to that, he taught PE for a year and has coached the Lawrenceville Indian baseball team for the past three seasons. The search will begin immediately for his successor. The Unit 20 Board received updates from Superintendent Doug Daugherty on repairs due to high wind and hail damage to west areas of LHS and the start of the Parkview Junior High HVAC renovation project expected to start Monday. They also selected the 2024-25 school calender from among three options presented.
