Just after midnight on Friday, September 13th Officer Wozniak with the Marshall County Sheriff's Department initiated a traffic stop on a white 2019 Nissan Maxima on 9A Road in front of the Pilot Truck Stop.
During the investigation, the driver of the vehicle, 43-year-old Joni R. Lawrenz of State Road 110 in Argos, was found to be operating a vehicle with a driving status of suspended prior. She was taken to the Marshall County Jail and booked in at 12:55 a.m. Her cash bond was paid at 1:33 a.m. and Lawrenz was released on bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
