The Board of Trustees of the Illinois Eastern Community College (IECC) District #529 has a new Fiscal Year 2027 Budget.
The spending plan was approved by the board during their regular monthly meeting Tuesday at Lincoln Trail College in Robinson. A public hearing was held prior to the passage with no comments.
They did accept the 2026 Annual District Security Report, the 2026 Violence Prevention Plans, and the 2026 Crisis Management Plans for all four of the IECC campuses. The annually reviewed documents outline emergency response, communication, coordination, recovery, and continuity procedures to support institutional safety and preparedness.
A resolution was formally adopted recognizing the service of Dr. Ryan Gower as Chancellor and conferred upon him the honorary title of Chancellor Emeritus of Illinois Eastern Community Colleges. Gower retired at the end of June after 6 years at the helm of the IECC District and has been succeeded by Dr. Timothy Taylor in the position.
