David Finkel appeared in the Southern District of Indiana court Wednesday and entered a not guilty plea to charges of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and Possession of Child Pornography.
A trial by jury date was set for 9 a.m. on Nov. 4 in the United States Courthouse at 46 E. Ohio Street in Indianapolis.
Finkel, a prominent figure in Shelbyville as director of the Strand Theatre and Shelbyville Central Schools board member, was taken into custody on June 16 following a warrant that was served at his Shelbyville home.
Finkel waived his right to a preliminary hearing at the time of his arrest and remains in custody of the U.S. Marshals.
